#Title TBD
###Abstract How many languages and APIs can we squeeze into an hour? Let's take a tour through as many popular REST APIs (Dribbble, Trello, Twitter, GitHub, etc.) as we can by writing 5 minute applications in a variety of languages (JavaScript, Ruby, Python, C#, etc). We'll discuss some of the finer points of REST API design and why some languages are naturally better for consuming web services than others.

###Reviewer Comments There are two speakers for this talk. We're planning on presenting as a pair so that we can ping-pong back and forth giving time for setup so that we can keep momentum throughout the presentation. We're hoping to cover a lot of ground during this talk. It won't necessarily go deep on any given API or language, but is more of a survey designed to entertain and pique interest in 'mash-up' development. We haven't given this talk before, but we will be presenting all or part of it over the summer to local user groups around Kansas City in preparation.
We just squashed together two pictures of us for the speaker image since it was required. We can, and would like to, submit a pic of each of us depending on how the images will be used.
###Prerequisites None
###A/V Requirements Since we'll be presenting as a team, one of us will be doing environmental setup while the other live-codes an example. A way of switching between laptop inputs would be nice, so we didn't have to unplug and adjust display settings every time. Solid Internet access would be favorable since we'll be hitting publicly hosted API's, but we'll be putting together fallback clones of all the API's we plan on using just in case.
