STEP 1

• Go to desktop and create a new Text Document here then open it.

STEP 2

• Paste the code below there.

• Click File->Save as the text document then type file name as viewer.reg and choose save as type as All files. Finally, click save.

• Open the text document.

I love it as well there are 2 major reasons I like it. It is the quickest way to view a .PSD (Adobe Photoshop Document) file.
Second reason is also related to that and it is setting that PSD Preview as a Desktop Wallpaper otherwise without this viewer (Windows Photo Viewer) we have to first open Photoshop (takes a lot of time in opening), open that psd file, save as an image, jpg or png open it in Photos App and than set as a wallpaper from there or in settings > personalization > background.

You seem to be a good programmer as I saw your that C Project and you are also talking about that Windows Reg Key (HKEY) that it is also possible to trick it somehow into enabling Windows Photo Viewer for all users, but the hilarious part is your username it's literally the username-is-not, funny. I am currently at a Hotel just had a small Chicken Tikka Pizza and now ordered a Hot Coffee with a Chocolate Cocoa Ice Pastry, I don't know why but I thought to tell you that.

BTW, I would love that trick.
