Some plan for Otaku Evolution

Otaku Evolution (OE)

This is a plan to make the best out of an Anime/Manga related group such as Otaku Evolution.

  • Gaming

This group should host some particular game officially. Those games should be able to be played by almost everyone. Anyone will be able to join the group and play right away. If this is a MMORPG, group members should be able to TEAM UP and fight against everyone else.

OE Group will be to provide support, tips, tricks to group members about those games, hold contest, talk about experiences. Group should pick up the games by a Poll or just ask the members for their opinion.

  • Group Chat

Though FB is a good platform, the group chat option doesn't have many controls. An IRC channel or official group chat platform will help control the environment.

Normally, there is no way to see which members are online right now and if someone leaves the conversation, they are not able to get in without help from someone inside the group chat. But an IRC/Online room will provide public view support as well as better administration.

DeviantArt

Every week, the group holds a Drawing, Photography and Author Day, but there is no archive, no history, no prize; no whats ever. To gain better control, here comes DeviantArt.

  • Art, Photography and Journal

Holding a contest in DA is easier. And not only the members, but also people from outside will be able to see and comment in the arts and participate. And keeping history will also be helpful for those who want to see how much they've improved.

The winner or someone with best art will be notified in FB group. Also, people can hire the best artists, do commission, requests, WIP or anything related.

Prize and Reward

Giving physical prizes are a bit too much for a new group. But virtual/digital prizes are easier than that. To increase interaction, group could give prizes and rewards like,

  • Premium membership for DA/some particular Game.
  • License for some particular Game and programs.
  • Points and real $$.
  • Free/Discounted service (From someone who will lose a Dare or willing to do so on Request).
  • Publicity via group cover photo, pin post and such.
  • Free tickets to some webiner/ similar events.
  • etc...

And who will pay for the Prizes and Rewards?

As you can see, people can hire or do free services, give some discounts. From time to time, you also win premiums/points from the games you play. If someone is willing to do free services or give some discounts, there shouldn't be any problem.
