How to Create a Shortcut in Windows to Reboot to BIOS

  1. Open Explorer
  2. Type %AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu in the address bar and press enter
  3. Right click and select New → Shortcut
  4. In the field Type the location of the item paste C:\Windows\System32\shutdown.exe /r /fw /t 0
  5. Press Next
  6. In the field Type a name for this shortcut enter Reboot to BIOS and press _Finish
  7. Right click the shortcut and select Properties
    1. Click Advanced... and check Run as administrator and press OK
    2. (optional) Change icon... and select a nicer icon (e.g. the two circling arrows at 70% scroll position) and press OK
    3. Press OK to close the properties dialog

Now you can search for or pin the item in your start menu!
