For a safe and fast Erlang SSL server, there's a few
configuration values you might want by default:
[{ciphers, CipherList}, % see below
{honor_cipher_order, true}, % pick the server-defined order of ciphers
{secure_renegotiate, true}, % prevent renegotiation hijacks
{client_renegotiation, false}, % prevent clients DoSing w/ renegs
{versions, ['tlsv1.2', 'tlsv1.1']}, % add tlsv1 if you must

A 1LOC bash script for re-running tests whenever a lib/ or test/ file changes keeping the same VM instance
# You will need fswatch installed (available in homebrew and friends)
# The command below will run tests and wait until fswatch writes something.
# The --stale flag will only run stale entries, it requires Elixir v1.3.
fswatch lib/ test/ | mix test --stale --listen-on-stdin

This Windows 10 Setup Script turns off a bunch of unnecessary Windows 10 telemetery, bloatware, & privacy things. Not guaranteed to catch everything. Review and tweak before running. Reboot after running. Scripts for reversing are included and commented. Fork of https://github.com/Disassembler0/Win10-Initial-Setup-Script (different defaults). N.…

webfont performance notes

Just jotting some notes on delivering webfonts performantly…

still an incomplete draft.

Any critical fonts must be requested asap.

Critical fonts are neccessary for the above-the-fold content to be useful. Identify which of the fonts you NEED for the first render, as they get very different treatment vs the others.

You want the network reqs for your critical fonts to start ASAP. ideally the @font-face req is in a style tag, following CRP guidelines

# Hello, and welcome to makefile basics.
#
# You will learn why `make` is so great, and why, despite its "weird" syntax,
# it is actually a highly expressive, efficient, and powerful way to build
# programs.
#
# Once you're done here, go to
# http://www.gnu.org/software/make/manual/make.html
# to learn SOOOO much more.
