I would recommend using rxvt-unicode for your terminal. It has some awesome features that I wish I could get in Mac terminal clients. Hell, I even have my config set so that Command-C copies and Command-V pastes, along with other stuff. https://github.com/smerrill/dotfiles/blob/master/.Xresources#L11 and https://github.com/smerrill/dotfiles/blob/master/.Xresources#L44.
