sim, oscillation slowly moves down slower and slower

can't tell if that slow down is a major issue:

It seems the schmitt is causing oscillations to slowly get longer and longer... Works fine with just inverter.

Or more precisely...any sortof extra delay causes the oscillations to get longer and longer... For instance, 3 inverters in series also causes the slowdown.
