I am motivated by getting back to a more stable lifestyle and more stable paycheck.
I will keep myself going by celebrating my struggles with my cohort mates. I would like to do some type of "cohort standup" type process with my cohort to keep everyone accountable and stay supportive of one another.
How will you hold yourself accountable to your plans? (Ex: Attend Mod 5, meet with cohortmates, attend Kayt's coffee shop hours, etc.)
I will plan on attending Mod 5, scheduling time to meet with cohortmates throughout the week and also attending Kayt's coffee shop hours when the location isn't too far from Denver.
Slack and email. Face to face when I am in the Turing building.
My ideal job is at a company that has strong onboarding/support for new hires and for new devs. Ideally would like to find a job in downtown Denver, but would consider places are far away as Broomfield. I don't really want to start out at a startup, would like to wokr at a company that is a little more established.
My approach has been to go through my network to curate warm-ish leads and try to get cold outrecaches set up from those meetings. I am still in the Turing TA process and that is my #1 preference for a job! If that doesn't work out, I am going to continue pursuing developer and product mgmt positions.
Second set of eyes for resumes, cover letters and outreach messages. Also will want some reps with interviews before going to an actual interview.
Really hoping I get the TA job at Turing so we can be colleagues and I don't have to go through Mod 5 haha.
