## What have you learned about the use of agile vs. waterfall in software projects?
* Based on the PD session, it seems like waterfall is more prevalent in the industry even though many people want to (or claim to) implement agile development. Agile may be harder to nail, but it can lead to much more productive development sprints. Specifically, agile allows you to incorporate feedback quicker and generate revenue while you continue to perfect the project.
## How did you and your group approach project management in this project (what tools did you use, how did you hold each other accountable, etc.)?
* My group only consisted of two team members total, so we were able to gameplan a little easier than if we had more members. We made sure to scope out the individual aspects of the project and capture it in a checklist on our Github. This allowed us to keep track of what we accomplished (and celebrate those accomplishments) while also giving us perspective on what was still on the docket.

## Who are you: | |
* I am someone who has found great success and fulfillment when I am in roles that challenge me - specifically, roles that allow me to tackle difficult problems and use my communication and critical thinking skills to arrive at a creative solution. I felt most fulfilled working for Teach for America as a classroom teacher and administator in high-needs schools in CO. The work was incredibly challenging, yet rewarding. However, the lack of a clear career path that would allow me to achieve my financial goals pushed me out of the field.
*After leaving teaching, I've struggled to find a career that challenges me the way that education did. Although my last career in the private sector (digital marketing) did not leave me very fulfilled, it allowed me to build a strong skillset that I leveraged when I decided to start my own business. This new venture has been incredibly fulfilling and successful, and has inspired me to pursue opportunities that challenge me and allow me to make my own decision |

*When I look back at my previous work experience, I can hone in on my time as an educator as a transformative part of my life trajectory. After college, I joined Teach for America and began teaching in high-needs public schools throughout Colorado. My experiences in education helped me realize my potential as a leader and problem-solver, especially in high pressure, high stakes environments. I was able to consistently lead my students to high growth and found similar success in elevating the performance of others when I transitioned into an assistant prinicpal role after only a few years in the classroom. As an educator and administrator, I ignited my desire to always be learning and to find creative solutions to the ever-changing problems I faced on a daily basis.
*However, after some deep reflection, I realized I needed to step away from education to see what I could accomplish outside of a school setting. I transitioned from a high-performing assistant principal to an entry level position in a digital ma |

#####Why you want to connect with this person and what you want to talk about?
I am going to connect with Ciara Bujanos. She is a former colleague of mine and also graduated Turing. I want to talk to her about her approach to job searching during Mods 3 and 4 because she was able to graduate with a job. I also want to talk to her about her experiences in her current role.
#####When you will contact them by and how you plan to meet?
I will reach out to her after the holidays and get a sense of what her schedule is like over the next few weeks to see what availabilty she has. Ideally, I could meet during the intermission, otherwise I will try to schedule time after school to meet.
#####What your follow-up will look like once you've met with them?
After meeting I will send a thank you note/email and see if there are opportunities to meet again as I progress farther in Turing. I also want to see if there is an opportunity to job shadow to get a sense of what her day to day is like and to see a different environme |
Goals and Expectations for the Project (What does each group member hope to get out of this project? What do we want to achieve as a team? How will we know that we're successful?):
E: Solidy FE concepts by creating a intuitive and simple UI for our FE. Want to get experience working with BE engineers and using a rebase workflow. Eager to work on incorporating a new technology, hopefully React Native or PWA for a mobile experience. As a team, I would like us to arrive at a MVP we are proud of and can speak intelligently about. N: To work with a new cool, new technology on the BE (TBD on what that is going to look like). L: Interested in exploring different database structures.
- Javascript interprets (reads) code from the top down, line by line
- A function can only return one thing. Anything below a return statement will not be read if that return statement fires
- Conditionals allow you to write more logic into a function to give JS more information about what you want to return from a function!
- Order matters when writing a conditional! Take time to psuedocode out how you want your function to interpret the data it is given!
