To remove a submodule you need to:

Delete the relevant section from the .gitmodules file.
Stage the .gitmodules changes git add .gitmodules
Delete the relevant section from .git/config.
Run git rm --cached path_to_submodule (no trailing slash).
Run rm -rf .git/modules/path_to_submodule (no trailing slash).
Commit git commit -m "Removed submodule "
Delete the now untracked submodule files rm -rf path_to_submodule

1. Create new branch:

git checkout -b otherrepo-master master

2. Get the contents of the PR

git pull https://github.com/otherrepo/my-repo-name.git master

Requirements

Minikube requires that VT-x/AMD-v virtualization is enabled in BIOS. To check that this is enabled on OSX / macOS run:

sysctl -a | grep machdep.cpu.features | grep VMX

If there's output, you're good!

To forward X11 from inside a docker container to a host running macOS

Install XQuartz: https://www.xquartz.org/
Launch XQuartz. Under the XQuartz menu, select Preferences
Go to the security tab and ensure "Allow connections from network clients" is checked.
Run xhost + ${hostname} to allow connections to the macOS host *
