Thank you for posting all of this! Super new person using the freesound api for a school project. The OAuth2 stuff is a bit confusing so this helps a ton.

For me it is working with
client.set_token(token,"oauth")
, if that's your question. At https://github.com/MTG/freesound-python/blob/1861ad0f557d8d567525e5c91ae9c2727f2c7959/freesound.py#L180 the library checks for the string'oauth'
and if not found, sets as API key.
