Using markdown-service-tools, write markdown emails and convert to rich text via hot key before sending.

Install

brew cask install markdown-service-tools
brew install multimarkdown 

In the system keyboard settings, add a convenient hotkey for the service md - Convert - MultiMarkdown to RTF, for example, ^⌥⌘M.

If you want code to have a grey background, store the attached file as $HOME/Library/Application Support/MarkdownServiceTools/styles/rtfstyle.txt.

Usage

Create a new email and write some markdown.

Before sending, select all (⌘A) and press the previously defined hotkey to convert the markdown to rich text (^⌥⌘M).
