The day started out slow. We had breakfast. So, whenever we have breakfast on a weekend we end up not going anywhere at all. We become relaxed and be content staying at home. But, not this time. I checked out the available slots in the Mornington Hot Springs and booked us at 1:30PM. It's a one and a half hours drive away from our house. When we get there, there were a lot of people but not too crowded for the area. There was ample parking, but we ended up going a bit further.
I was quite impressed with the facility. Great place to stay with the family. We brought in food, and there was nice shaded picnic areas there. Weather was great -- not to cold not too hot. There was a lot of pools! The ones we picked had everything a hot pool, a cold pool right next to it, and a foot bath. I loved the footbath. The nice warm water is really relaxing after a long drive.
The wife loved it. Lounging around doing nothing at all -- immersed in warm running water. The kids, they like to switch here and there from cold to warm pools. They enjoyed every bit of it. My MIA as usual no reactions whatsoever but I can tell she liked it.
With the reactions I got from everyone, we'll definitely go back to the place. The drive was worth it. I wish we could go on a weekday so there's less people. I highly recommend it during spring or fall because you can't go to the beach at this times because the beach will be too cold for my liking. Hot springs is the way to go. It's a perfect day trip as well. Just make sure bring enough food.
Cost to enter: $327 for three adults and three kids.
