I had a very productive day today -- usually Friday's my best day. Yesterday, I worked from home because public transport was acting up. It was not the most productive workday of the week. But, I still enjoyed it because it's out of my routine.

  • Early in the morning, I woke up a little bit late. I'm excited to go back to work in the office. I still arrived on time. After the standup, it was practically just my headphones and work. I was in the zone.

  • Lunch time I made it a point to get out of the office and look for some inspiration. I went to NGV @ Fed Square to look at some Australian art. I like some of the paintings specially the modern ones. I don't like the old paintings I feel like they're watching me. They belong to a different era that does not excite me.

  • It was back to work after the lunch break. I managed to accomplish a lot even before the Friday meeting. Basically, right after the Friday meeting not much work is accomplished but I came back to my desk and finished off the last piece of work for the day. I'm very happy.

  • Before heading back home, I stopped by KFC to bring home for the family. It's something they're looking forward to when I get home on the weekend. I remember when we were staying at my classmate's house his dad comes home on a Friday night brings along two boxes of pizza. Every Friday he does that for the family and us.

  • Finally, before dinner I managed to squeeze in two rounds of jogging around the neighbourhood. It was a strong run. I consciously skipped the beer in the office so that I could run tonight.

Tomorrow

Plan for success tomorrow. I'll be Uber drivin' tomorrow for the family.

  • I bought ingredients for apple pie -- I guess that's what I'm making this weekend. I plan to prepare the dough first so I would not be making the pie all in one go. That drains me of my energy. I could prepare the dough in the morning and finish the pie in the afternoon.

  • After I drive my wife to her office, I could pass by Bunnings to buy my materials for our de-weeding in our backyard. I'll buy enough to cover one part of the backyard and reserve the other bits later. It's a huge backyard. I can't possibly finish it all in a weekend.

  • Tomorrow, we'll meet our broker. It's a great time to visit some model homes as well. Keep the dream alive. It's awesome -- we'll be buying our first home in Melbourne, Australia. I'm excited.
