sandwich

Italian hero

Whenever I go to the kitchen to make something I always end up making some sort of sandwich. This time it's the Italian hero sandwich. First time I made this sandwich and I love it. It's dead simple. Probably the trick here is to buy the right ingredients. I went straight to the Italian deli (a deli that's run by Italians) and pointed to the exact ingredients.

I ate two whole sandwiches. My wife and MIA (mother-in-law) ate half each. There's something special in my own sandwich because I know what flavours I want in my sandwich and what kind of bread I want. This made my dinner complete.

How the day went down

  • Morning was a regular Saturday morning for me, Uber driver for the family. When I got back from the first trip -- I decided to take a quick jog around the neighbourhood. I finished it right, but did not feel good right after. Then I went on to a second trip Uber drivin' my youngest to her class. I get to her class on time and it's me time.

  • Lunch I had some take away sushi after buying lunch for my Uber customers (wife and yougest). I took some time to do a little window shopping @ the Superdry store. I love their shirts if it were not too expensive. Their material is so good to the skin. I love it! I did not buy anything from that store. Did not have the courage. Classes were over and it's time to go home. I shopped for the sandwich ingredients at the Italian deli and some more shopping at the local supermarket for the rest of the stuff needed to make the sandwich.

  • By the time we got home, the Uber driver is tired I think the jogging did not do me good this time. I slept the whole afternoon till sundown. I made a trial sandwich and wolfed one down. I loved it! Then the third and final Uber ride was booked and off I go to the train station.

The whole time I was at home I was with Vera. She's a very good side kick. She just watched a move in Netflix while I dozed off. After the movie, she said it was my turn to pick the show to watch.

Things I did not do today that I'm glad I skipped. We were invited to a birthday party. My other two daughters and MIA went there before lunch. They took one for the team. Instead of catching up and attend the party, I skipped it all together. I slept like a baby in our bed and I love it! I think I need more sleep.
