🇵🇭

Today's Pinoy festival in Melbourne. I'm not really into it but the MIA is -- so there's the obligatory let's go there to entertain the MIA. I kindof expected it already to be underwhelming and a waste of time but I'm still glad we did it. Before going there we had a quick look at the model houses near our place.

They were nice and looks pretty unreachable -- atleast that's my knee jerk reaction. Thinking about getting a home is a bit frustrating for me. It doesn't give me joy. It just gives me pressure. I feel like I need to save for a home deposit for at least 5 years or so to come up with a 20% deposit. All the time leading up to it feels like a very big sacrifice that's full of despair and unhappiness because you keep supressing the stuff you want right now to the promise of getting a full home deposit later on. It's very tough to swallow, it feels like torture really all because of having no initial savings when we got here in Australia.

Enough with the somber stuff. Today I continued work on the garden. No mulching today. All I did was trim my bushes. I trimmed the smallest bush in the garden. After trimming it, spiders that make the bush their home all came out. Fuck! I moved on trimming the bush right next to it. It was easier but there were some hard parts, I needed the tree branch pruner to do the job. I successfully made the two bushes look round like the ones found in proper gardens.

Then I moved on to the tree. It was casting shadows on the two bushes I just trimmed. Maybe that's why they were seeking the sun and trying to escape the tree's shade. As a solution, I trimmed down the tree's branches that grows directly above the bushes. It made the area well lit. There were a lot of green rubbish that resulted from all the pruning I did today.

It's been a successful gardening day for me again. I love working in the garden. The physicality of it. But I really need a green bin badly to get rid of the rubbish. Next week, I'm moving on to the biggest tree in the garden. It was neglected since we got here. I need to trim it. I am quite afraid of the area because god knows what lives in there. Please let there be no snakes. I'll take precaution and wear my redwings when I work on that area. Tradie uniform is required.

I can't believe that our family friend are putting in $1,600 and $2,000 for vacuum machines. While for me, I can't spend more than $300 for one. To my mind, they're really cashed up to spend that kind of money on stuff. It's really not worth my time comparing our spending power to theirs. I just wish we could afford our own home in the near future. Where and when can we get that money? Cue in Kid Rock's song.. Only god.. Only god..

This week

  • I'm looking forward to Friday. Haha the weekend? Already? Yes. Because this week is the Melbourne flower and garden show. We got our tickets for Friday. That's the day we'll visit and join in a flower arrangement course. Sounds good to me.

  • I want to clock in some jogging time. 2x this week because that's what I said I'd do. I usually jog on the weekdays Tuesday and Thursday nights. Two rounds which is roughly 3 kms.

  • Doing my kettlebell routine in the mornings now. I usually do one circuit but this week I could consistently do at least two rounds of the circuit. Help me get stronger.

  • Accomplish the bugs that was filed to me. A mystery bet bug where the favourite is always included. Two, a cashcard bug where it should be accesssible from the more menu.

  • Saturday. Our first ever piano lessons. All of us! It will be fun.
