How to use nootropics to bring combined ADHD under control.

| I am not a MD or a Psychologist, AND this | |
| is not medical advice. | |
| But, it would seem given recent ADHD studies | |
| that 5 neurotransmitters are involved rather just | |
| dopamine and norepinephrine by themselves. | |
| AND, overwhelming how DA and NE transporters and | |
| intercellular TAAR1 work without considering rest of the | |
| complex set of systems seems to unbalance things. | |
| Instead the Nootropic approach uses less strong | |
| TAAR1 agonists such as Caffeine and ECGC from | |
| Green Tea. Why? Strong binding to TAAR1 over time | |
| makes an addition molecular switch to be expressed | |
| in the dopamine neuron leading to addiction. | |
| That weak binding to TAAR1 by caffeine and ECGC | |
| triggers the DA transporter to reverse and transport | |
| dopamine out of the neuron into the synaptic | |
| cleft beyond what the VMAT2 does. | |
| In other words, I am choosing to weak binding of | |
| TAAR1 combined with hrbs that act as MAO inhibitors. | |
| MAO is the set of enzymes that break down neurotransmitters | |
| intracellularly in the neuron itself after the neurotransmitter | |
| is uptaken by the transporter proteins on neuron cell surfaces. | |
| The other major aspect is proper support of the | |
| astrocyte g-cycle involving glutamate, glutamine, and | |
| GABA. As astrocytes control the dopamine signaling | |
| via that cycle. | |
| The final polish is added via using the correct co-factors | |
| that aid in neuron plasticity, prevent cell death, etc. | |
| This is a re-use of my molecular biology studies at | |
| Purdue Univeristy. Yoou still should consult a doctor | |
| to see if this conflicts with any medicines you are taking. | |
| For example, ashwagandha lowers blood pressure so women | |
| of child bearing ages usually have to replace it with | |
| somethng else. | |
| The other major nuance here is that I when literature and even | |
| me refer to MAO inhibitors increasing DA, NE, serotonin, etc.; | |
| we in fact mean that the neurotransmitters stay longer | |
| in the synaptic cleft. Its not increasing like the TAAR1 binding | |
| reactions of even caffeine which is a medium stimulant. | |
| In short words, choosing to increase time of neurotransmitters in | |
| the synaptic cleft rather than concentration has less oxidative | |
| stress. And that by promoting less neuron cell death means the | |
| increase in NGF and BDNF is used for new neurons needed for new | |
| memories instead of replacing neurons destroyed by cell death. | |
| My Nootropics for combined ADHD type: | |
| Bakers Cacoa | |
| -caffeine, targets TAAR1 in DA and NE neurons as weak binder | |
| also targets the dopamine hereto dimers and co-competes with | |
| the sleep molecule adenosine to keep the dopamine receptor open | |
| -adandamide(AEA N-arac hidonoylethanolamine), targets CBD1 | |
| on astrocytes is a bliss mood molecule | |
| (and yes its the same receptor that THC targets with no ill side effects) | |
| *its the unsweetend kind that tastes bitter. 4 squares taken with | |
| breakfast cobined with Green Tea ECGC lasts 12-16 hours as far as | |
| attention and focus. | |
| GABA | |
| -targets the GABA receptor of astrocytes. | |
| -helps manage dopamine via inhibitor activities | |
| -typical doasge is 750mg | |
| L-Glutamine | |
| -targets the Glutamine receptors of astrocytes | |
| -assists astrocyte control of dopamine signaling | |
| Force Factor Modern Mushrooms | |
| -Lions Mane targets enzymes that produce nerge grwoth factor NGF. | |
| -Maitake blocks AMPA receptor expression reducing depression | |
| -Chaga raises acetycholine levels by inhibiting acetylcholinesterase and | |
| that improves memory and learning | |
| -cordyceps increse release of neurotransmitter catecholamines which | |
| are dopamine, norepinephrine and epinephrine. | |
| Omega-3(DGA) Omega-6(EHA) | |
| -Omega-3 increases BDNF brain derived nerve gwoth factor | |
| -Omega 6 also increases BDNF | |
| Acetylcarnitine and Alpha Lipoic Acid(ALCAR + ALA) | |
| -ALCAR increases energy by increasing fatty acid transport to mitochondria of | |
| neurons | |
| -ALA ncreases acetylcholine production by activation of choline acetyltransferase | |
| and increases glucose uptake. This process supplies more Acetyl-CoA for the production | |

| Force Factor Amazing ASHWA | |
| **Cautioon, ashwagandha lowers blood pressure and cannot be taken with | |
| blood pressure medicine or if you are a women of child bearing age. | |
| So you will need to replace it with something else and buy the | |
| other individual ingredients of ForceFactor Amazing ASHWA. | |
| L-theanine also lowers blood pressure and thus needs to be subsituted. | |
| -Ashwagandha extract inhibits acetylcholinesterase. The enzyme is responsible | |
| for breaking down the key neurotransmitter acetylcholine. Boosting memory, | |
| learning, and cognition.enhances GABA receptors and regulates serotonin in the brain. | |
| It appears to work on neuron receptors, enabling GABA to connect more easily. | |
| This inhibits the signals present under a stress response in the brain. Anxiety is reduced. | |
| Reduces blood pressure. | |
| -Ginseng is a serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor, which is different tnan a | |
| MAOI which has to enter via those reuptake proteins to block MAO but the effect is simular | |
| in that NE and SE are kept in the synaptic cleft. Also boosts NGF. | |
| -Goji Berry improves neuron plasticity, in other words new neuron growth. | |
| -Bacopa Monnieri Bacopa’s two active components are bacosides A and B. They improve the | |
| signaling of electrical impulses between neurons in your brain. Bacosides also | |
| help rebuild damaged neurons. It also reduces heat shock protein expression | |
| which increase during stress. | |
| -Green Tea extremely weak binder to TAAR1 via ECGC which forces the transporter | |
| protein in dopamine and ne neurons to rerverse transport neuron transmitters outside | |
| of neurons to reach the synaptic cleft. | |
| -Black Maca contains building blocks of neurotransmitters, namely most of the amino acids. | |
| It also boost anandamide the bliss molecule that binds to CBD1 on the astrocytes. It also | |
| inhibits FAAH thus blocking breakdown of anandamide. | |
| -L-Theanine | |
| -lowers blood pressure | |
| -as analog for L-glutamate and L-glutamine will increase GABA, serotonin and | |
| dopamine | |
| -increases alpha and theta brain wabes | |
| -agonist of NMDA receptors which inhibis glutamate release and protects | |
| from overstimulation. | |
| -Rhodiola is a MAO inhibitor and through that action increases serotonin and | |
| norepinephrine. Rhodiola directly modulates HPA axis activity by helping restore | |
| the cortisol feedback loop. Rhodiola upregulates NPY, a peptide involved in stress | |
| resilience and cognitive performance under pressure | |
| -BioPerine Piperine inhibits the drug transporter P-glycoprotein, and the | |
| drug-metabolizing enzyme CYP3A4 in your liver. Allowing more of each nootropic | |
| in your stack to be absorbed and used as intended. Piperine is a powerful | |
| monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitor (MAOI). Boosting serotonin, dopamine and | |
| norepinephrine levels in the brain. Decreasing anxiety, improving mood and memory | |
| -Vitamin D is the cofactor to production of GABA, Glutamate, Glutamine. | |
| Serotonin and Dopamine. As a hormone in the brain it regulates 2000 genes and | |

| -Zinc inhibits NMDA receptors which reduces glutamate toxicity. And zinc modulates | |
| the activity of proteins such as receptors and enzymes that are involved in the | |
| regulation of macromolecules, the regulation of signaling cascades and | |
| gene transcription, and transport processes. | |
| -Low zinc levels are found in depression, and the lower the level the more severe | |
| the depression. Zinc increases serotonin uptake in select brain regions which | |
| increases the efficacy of antidepressants. And it reduces depression because | |
| is increases BDNF. | |
| -Selenium | |
| precursor to glutathione which protects dopamine neurons from | |
| oxidation stress | |
| FINAL NOTE: Although this is for ADHD, since I am not using extreme | |
| stimulants to dramatically increase DA, NE, Serotonin, etc.; | |
| this same nootropic stack can in fact be used for | |
| non ADHD people as long as you pay attention to the | |
| blood pressure decreases warnings for L-theanine and | |
| ashwagandha. |
