This sample is a direct copy of https://github.com/flutter/plugins/blob/master/packages/camera/camera/example/lib/main.dart
This copy removes ALL null-safety features implemented which restricted the code from working on flutter versions <
2
The camera package version must be lower than
0.8.0
Tested on flutter version
1.22.6
and camera package version0.7.0
Not sure why extra code is needed in the
initState()
function but my best guess is some null safety took care of that initialisation implicitly.Official plugin page: https://pub.dev/packages/camera
