A draft for this was published in July 2018
Note: Have to reduce the scope of the community initially (imp)
Enable people to have micro meetups discussions about their fields
A Technical community in Guwahati is more important than ever right now. It aims to solve/improve the following:
Goals
- Get more people from Guwahati and nearby places into coding and building things.
- Promote pre-existing programs by companies among members. Eg. Google Developer Training, DGplug, Progate etc. This way you cascade the learning part to the resources provided by these programs.
- Get students from schools(up to 10+2) interested in computer science
- Use hour of code/code to learn materials
- Organize contests only for school children
- Connecting university students, developers, designers etc.
- Learn from each other
- Work/Recommend for each other
- Connect this community to other local communities, institutions, and organizations.
- A key activity for beginner students will be to build local solutions(Websites/Apps/whatever) for organizations and non-profits at "pay what you like" rates. Experienced community members can help direct them what to do next.
- Connection with other bigger communities can bring in a lot of opportunities

- Hangouts/Live/Interview and Newsletters
It will be extremely ambitious to set future plans now, but GDG, WTM, Python User group etc can be planned.
You join a community you be a part of it for some time and then you figure out what you want to do and lessen your activities in the community and focus on doing your own work. Some members are consistent but this cycle should continue.
Bigger companies have their extended community programs (Eg.GDG, Facebook Developers Circle etc) once we have enough members we can run such sub communities.
Interesting things like book giveaways can happen too?
- bookclub ---> techclub? like people share what they learn to the community (through a talk or something)
- what are you building this weekend [ask BT]
- have some role models to look up to
I feel the need to state why I think we should self host our services and fourms. [wip]
