When launching a new ubuntu instance to run node.js applications perform the following steps. | |
sudo apt-get update | |
# install nodejs | |
curl -sL https://deb.nodesource.com/setup_5.x | sudo -E bash - | |
sudo apt-get install -y nodejs | |
# install git | |
sudo apt-get install -y git | |
# install make | |
sudo apt-get install -y build-essential | |
# npm packages | |
sudo npm install -g forever coffee-script |
