DeltaBot is a Reddit moderation app used to operate the delta system on r/changemyview.
DeltaBot processes information available through Reddit that is necessary to provide its features, including Reddit usernames, comments, posts, IDs, permalinks, flair, and delta-award history.
DeltaBot does not request passwords, payment information, or information outside Reddit.
This information is used only to validate and record delta awards, update flair and wiki histories, maintain leaderboards and post summaries, support moderator actions, and diagnose app errors.
Data is stored using Reddit and Devvit services, including Redis, subreddit wiki pages, posts, comments, and app logs. DeltaLog data is transferred between two installations of DeltaBot through an authenticated Reddit Devvit endpoint. DeltaBot does not sell personal information or share it with advertisers or unrelated third parties.
Reddit separately processes information under its own privacy policy.
Records are retained as needed to maintain accurate delta histories and operate the app. Reddit content deleted by a user may remain referenced in delta history where necessary to preserve the integrity of existing records. Requests or questions may be sent to the moderators of r/changemyview through Reddit modmail.
This policy may be updated when DeltaBot's functionality or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
