This gist shows how to create a GIF screencast using only free OS X tools: QuickTime, ffmpeg, and gifsicle.
To capture the video (filesize: 19MB), using the free "QuickTime Player" application:

For this configuration you can use web server you like, i decided, because i work mostly with it to use nginx.
Generally, properly configured nginx can handle up to 400K to 500K requests per second (clustered), most what i saw is 50K to 80K (non-clustered) requests per second and 30% CPU load, course, this was 2 x Intel Xeon
with HyperThreading enabled, but it can work without problem on slower machines.
You must understand that this config is used in testing environment and not in production so you will need to find a way to implement most of those features best possible for your servers.
server { | |
listen 443; | |
server_name example.com;
error_log /var/log/nginx/example_com_error.log warn;
ssl on; | |
ssl_certificate /etc/nginx/ssl/your.crt; #certificate chains
ssl_certificate_key /etc/nginx/ssl/your.key; #private key
<?php | |
function json_response($code = 200, $message = null)
{ | |
// clear the old headers
header_remove(); | |
// set the actual code | |
http_response_code($code);
// set the header to make sure cache is forced
header("Cache-Control: no-transform,public,max-age=300,s-maxage=900"); |
i pulled an ubuntu12/nginx container with docker.
install a bunch of stuff...
sudo apt-get update | |
sudo apt-get -y install build-essential
sudo apt-get install xvfb
sudo apt-get install xfs xfonts-scalable xfonts-100dpi
sudo apt-get install libgl1-mesa-dri
sudo apt-get install subversion libqt4-webkit libqt4-dev g++ |
