Likely Ltd Job Vacancy

About Likely Ltd

Likely Ltd are a funded startup specialising in highly targeting online publishing. We understand consumers’ interests, intent and behaviour online and use social platforms to talk to them about things that we know they will love. We manage hundreds of online accounts across multiple social media networks (each based around an interest, geographic location and consumer demographic), and we are scaling fast.

The company was founded at the beginning of this year by the team behind the @LDN twitter account. Our business is built on high-quality advertising, matching content to prospect so well that our audience enjoy even our sponsored messages. We already count several large global brands as clients, and are building out our communities beyond London to Europe and the US.

About the Vacancy

To efficiently grow our business, we are looking for rubyists who are motivated by the challenges presented by big data storage, analysis and navigation. We have a diverse database ecosystem including MongoDB, MySQL, HBase and Redis, and a processing pipeline built around asynchronous messaging using EventMachine, RabbitMQ and Resque. We are regularly building new internal web apps, and the ideal candidate will be as comfortable designing front ends as apis to be implemented by back end data systems. Work will be varied and interesting! If you have a yen for building rich-client javascript applications, then you will have the flexibility to do so. Our content editors will appreciate using responsive and attractive interfaces, and we'd love to hear from you.

Benefits

We take your career seriously. We've put together what we hope is an awesome benefits package. We've included a significant budget for hardware & training, plenty of holiday, fortnightly hack days with pizza and beer, and stock options too.

This is a fantastic opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a startup that has raised finance and is looking to scale its business rapidly. We are rewriting apps at the very core of our business and you will be involved in every stage of the process from design to deployment. We are looking for people who are excited by the challenges of working within a small startup, who are hungry to learn new tools and ways of working, and who can take the initiative as we grow quickly over the coming months.

Sound interesting? Please get in touch!

You will be reporting direct to the CTO, working in our London office in Shoreditch. Please email your CV, salary expectations, or further questions to [email protected].
