Meghan Trainor's "All about that rebase"
(Verse 1)
Yeah, it's pretty clear, I ain't no Git rookie
But I can merge it, merge it, like I'm supposed to do
'Cause I got that repo that all the devs chase
All the right branches and all the right bases
(Pre-Chorus)
I see the dev team working that commit race
We know that merge ain't the only way to save face
If you got Git skills, skills
Hey everyone, today I'd like to go over the differences between classes and structs in C#
We'll start with how their memory is allocated.
Whenever you see a struct variable, the memory for that struct will be stored in the same location as the variable.
So if you have a struct variable in a function, the memory for that struct will be stored within that function's stack frame.
If you have an array of structs, the structs' memory will be stored within the array itself.

A small state-of-the-art study on custom engines

CUSTOM GAME ENGINES: A Small Study

a_plague_tale

A couple of weeks ago I played (and finished) A Plague Tale, a game by Asobo Studio. I was really captivated by the game, not only by the beautiful graphics but also by the story and the locations in the game. I decided to investigate a bit about the game tech and I was surprised to see it was developed with a custom engine by a relatively small studio. I know there are some companies using custom engines but it's very difficult to find a detailed market study with that kind of information curated and updated. So this article.

Nowadays lots of companies choose engines like Unreal or Unity for their games (or that's what lot of people think) because d

Summary of 'Clean code' by Robert C. Martin

Code is clean if it can be understood easily – by everyone on the team. Clean code can be read and enhanced by a developer other than its original author. With understandability comes readability, changeability, extensibility and maintainability.

General rules

  1. Follow standard conventions.
  2. Keep it simple stupid. Simpler is always better. Reduce complexity as much as possible.
  3. Boy scout rule. Leave the campground cleaner than you found it.
  4. Always find root cause. Always look for the root cause of a problem.

New stuff from WWDC 2015

Here's my own list of the interesting stuff announced during this year's WWDC, collected from the keynotes, various Apple docs, blog posts and tweets.

If you're planning to watch the videos, I really recommend this Mac app that helps you download and watch them: https://github.com/insidegui/WWDC.
