They are known for their couscous and ratatouille-like soup. It's served together as one meal and is quite tasty. And I don't remember it being expensive, I think it was average price which why it's so popular.
Meal: breakfast, lunch (better for picnics)
Find this street: Rue Cier
near Eiffel tower, buy some awesome cured meat, baguettes, cheese, fruit, wine, whatever you guys like then head over to Eiffel tower (gardens) for a picnic. It's awesome.
Meal: brekafast, lunch
On the same street as Chez Omar
(Rue de Bretagne), you will find a lot of small markets. There's one about 1-2 blocks away from Chez Omar and they have awesome market food as well.
TIP: if you do visit this place, try and go early and go around the palace in reverse order. That way you can visit the palace last (just before it closes) and you can skip the crowd.
So:
- Trainon Estate
- Marie Antoinette's Estate
- Gardens
- Palace
Usually people go through the palace first, then end up at Trainon estate. Wrong move.
They say it's like the paddington of Paris, so it's worth a stroll. We found stuff to be very expensive, but its cool to look at regardless.
