        - read half of it at the beginning of the year. Feels like it has some insights, but needs serious updating for the new age. Focuses a lot on deep reading, I tend to start reading syntopically much earlier. But might be worth revisiting. Dry though.

        - There have been some good critiques of this essay published.

        - While there are examples of political correctness going too far, I'm generally much more skeptical to all the callouts of cancel culture and wokeness. I'm quite to the left on this, but also not super interesting to discuss.
