Since arriving in Denver, I have noticed that Denver drivers do a whole range of semi-dangerous things on the road:
- Changing lane with insufficient space
- Lefthand turns in front of oncoming traffic
- Running orange/red lights
- Driving through totally red lights
- Passing on the right on the highway
My personal theory is that the influx of drivers from many different states to live in Colorado has produced a mixture of driving styles and expectations that do not mix well.
A successful project would answer the questions:
- Is there an elevated risk of accident in Denver?
- What is the cause of this increased risk?
- *277 call data?
- insurance claim data?
