모달 (Modal) 닫기 인터페이스

모달은 기존 창 위에 겹쳐져 표시되는 최상단 요소로, 기존 콘텐츠와의 상호작용을 막아 모달에만 집중할 수 있도록 합니다. 모달 닫기 방식은 지속적으로 발전해 왔으며, 기존의 Esc 키를 통한 닫기에 이어 close requests 표준이 도입되어 안드로이드 뒤로 가기 버튼/제스처로도 모달을 닫을 수 있게 되었습니다. 이와 관련하여 다음 내용이 궁금합니다:

  • 사용자 직관성: 사용자들이 Esc 키와 뒤로 가기를 모달 닫기 수단으로 자연스럽게 인식하는지 평가해야 합니다. close requests 도입 동기에선 일관성만이1 강조되었습니다.
  • 닫기 불가 모달 피드백: closedby="none" 속성으로 설정된 닫기 불가 모달에서 사용자가 Esc나 뒤로 가기를 시도할 경우, 적절한 피드백이 제공되어야 합니다. 시각적으로 효과적이면서 스크린리더 등 접근성을 챙긴 방법이 필요합니다.

여러 개로 쪼개진 입력란

대한민국에선 유독 단일값을 여러 입력란으로 나눠서 입력하게 합니다. 카드번호를 4(5)자리씩 구분된 입력란으로, 이메일을 사용자명과 도메인으로 구분해서 입력하는 것이 대표적입니다. 이로 인해 브라우저에서 제공하는 자동완성이 작동하지 않을 뿐더러, input focus를 강제로 옮기는 UX 등이 도입되었습니다. 예를 들어 카드번호 앞 네 자리를 입력했으면 다음 입력란으로 커서를 강제로 옮겨줍니다. 이와 관련하여 다음 내용이 궁금합니다:

  • 자동 focus 이동의 UX 적합성: 온-스크린 키보드 사용 환경에서는 커서를 자동으로 옮겨주지 않으면 화면의 위-아래를 오가며 터치해야 해서 비효율적일 수 있습니다. 그러나 이것이 모든 상황에서 좋은 UX인지 의문입니다.
  • 대안적 접근법: 범용성을 위해 단일 입력란을 사용하면서도 시각적으로는 쪼개진 것처럼 표시해 주는 방식을 적용할 수 없는지 궁금합니다.

푸시 알림 권한 요청 방식

안드로이드, iOS 환경에서 푸시 알림을 보내려면 운영체제 차원에서 앱이 알림을 보낼 수 있도록 허용해야 하고, 앱 차원에서 어떤 알림을 수신받을 건지를 선택해야 합니다. 문제는 이 두 가지 허용/동의 절차가 모호하게 진행되는 경우가 많다는 점입니다. 알림을 필수 권한처럼 제시해, 이를 허용하지 않으면 앱 실행 자체가 불가능한 경우도 빈번합니다. 이로 인해 일단 알림 관련 요청은 허용을 누른 뒤, 앱 알림 설정에 별도로 들어가 선택적(프로모션, 광고 등) 알림을 수신 거부했는지 확인하는 것이 습관이 되었습니다. 이에 실제 사례 분석을 통해 국내외 유명 앱들의 알림 권한 요청 방식을 비교하고, 국내 앱들만의 특징이 있다면 이를 식별하여 더 나은 UX 가이드를 제시하고자 합니다.

개인 과제 1A에 담지 못했지만 관심 있는 주제들입니다. 어떤 소재가 HCI 연구 측면에 더 적합한지 모르겠어서 남겨둡니다:

  • 디지털 텍스트 방향성: 세로 스크롤(네이버뉴스) vs 가로 페이지네이션(카카오페이지 웹소설) 비교. 콘텐츠별 최적 읽기 방식이 존재하는지 탐구
  • 브라우저 탭 방향성: 가로/세로 탭 인터페이스 사용 패턴 연구. 특정 방식이 우위가 있는지, 아니면 상황별로 더 나은 방식이 존재하는지 탐구
  • 챗봇 형태의 온보딩: 비(非) 채팅 앱에서의 대화형 사용법 안내 효과성 연구. LLM 발전으로 인해 챗봇에 대한 사용자 거부감이 줄었을 수 있음
  • 가상 보안 키패드 개선: 공동인증서 등 비밀번호 입력에 사용되는 마우스/터치 기반 입력의 사용성 문제점과 개선안 제시 (e.g. 터치패드 사용성)
