Copy-less bindings of C-generated arrays with Cython

Cython example of exposing C-computed arrays in Python without data copies

The goal of this example is to show how an existing C codebase for numerical computing (here c_code.c) can be wrapped in Cython to be exposed in Python.

The meat of the example is that the data is allocated in C, but exposed in Python without a copy using the PyArray_SimpleNewFromData numpy

Common markup for Markdown and reStructuredText

Markdown and reStructuredText

GitHub supports several lightweight markup languages for documentation; the most popular ones (generally, not just at GitHub) are Markdown and reStructuredText. Markdown is sometimes considered easier to use, and is often preferred when the purpose is simply to generate HTML. On the other hand, reStructuredText is more extensible and powerful, with native support (not just embedded HTML) for tables, as well as things like automatic generation of tables of contents.

getting tired of guessing tar flags in 2013?

Looks familiar?

Worry no more! Use extract and prosper!

Usage

# download latest libevent2 and tmux sources, and extract them somewhere
#
# at the time of writing:
# http://sourceforge.net/projects/tmux/files/latest/download?source=files
#
# don't compile tools as root, just don't do it.
# install deps

Installing graphite 0.10, collectd and grafana on centos 6

Installing Graphite:

Graphite does two things:

  1. Store numeric time-series data
  2. Render graphs of this data on demand

What Graphite does not do is collect data for you, however there are some tools out there that know
