#Blackbuck - p2p delivery platform
Blackbuck combines the best of Lyft and Postmates with a complete p2p take on delivering parcels within a city.
###How it works###
Individuals can sign up freely as users that can act as drivers or just customers.
Customers can create delivery jobs in 1 hour windows for the product to be picked up and delivered instantly. Delivery time is calculated in real time using Google Maps with 50% upper margin. Customer average review score is displayed.
Once messenger is confirmed, customers can see the messenger's average review and have 2 minutes to cancel order (otherwise full cost will be charged).
Messenger will pick up product from sender and drop it off at destination either anonymously or to a specific person. If specific person is not present, messenger will wait up to 15 minutes. If not, messenger will return parcel to sender within 24 hours but charge delivery fee.
Messenger can report a problem during delivery if unexpected incidences happen. Sender will need to contact messenger directly to organise re-delivery.
Once delivered, gps locator will confirm that messenger has been to the destination address and send information to sender through push notification.
After job completion, sender can review messengers and vice versa. If review is less than 3 stars then there is option of adding notes to the review.
Average customer and messenger reviews are calculated using median score.
Prices are calculated using an algorithm of distance travelled and expected travel time. Parcels are restricted to less than 1kg or 1 cubic meter, whichever one is lower.
Payments are taken from sender account as soon as job is accepted, but payments to messenger is only sent 2 hours after job completion unless
- damage to parcel
- delivery mistake
- delivery time is outside 20% of promised times
Blackbuck uses Balanced Payment systems and act as escrow for the service.
Once problem is reported, the messenger account is suspended for immediate resolution between the two parties.
Blackbuck is currently free to use and charges a fixed commission of 3.5% of total cost as payments commission.
