FluxRead ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our iOS application handles information when you use FluxRead.

**The short version:** FluxRead stores all your data locally on your device or in your personal iCloud account. We do not collect, transmit, or have access to your personal data.

### Local Storage

All app data is stored locally on your device, including:

- RSS feed subscriptions and articles
- Reading history and progress
- App preferences and settings
- Cached content for offline reading
- Podcast playback history and progress

### iCloud Sync

If you enable iCloud sync, the following data is synchronized through your personal iCloud account:

- Read article status
- Reading progress (scroll position)
- Podcast playback progress
- Subscription data

This data is stored in your private iCloud container. We have no access to your iCloud account or any data stored within it. iCloud sync is governed by [Apple's Privacy Policy](https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/).

FluxRead does not collect, store, or transmit:

- Personal identification information
- Email addresses or contact information
- Location data
- Device identifiers
- Usage analytics or tracking data

We do not have servers that receive your data. We do not use third-party analytics services.

## Third-Party Services

### RSS Feeds and Content Sources

When you subscribe to RSS feeds, the app connects directly to those feed sources to retrieve content. We do not act as an intermediary. Your interactions with these sources are governed by their respective privacy policies.

### AI Features (Optional)

If you choose to use AI-powered features (such as article summarization or translation), article content may be sent to the AI service provider you select:

If you configure a custom RSSHub instance, the app will connect to that service to fetch feed data. Your use of RSSHub is governed by the privacy policy of the instance you choose to use.

## Data Security

Your data remains on your device and in your personal iCloud account. We employ the following security measures:

- All network connections use HTTPS encryption
- iCloud data is protected by Apple's security infrastructure
- No data is transmitted to our servers because we do not operate data collection servers

## Children's Privacy

FluxRead does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13 years of age. Since we do not collect personal information from any users, this applies to all age groups.

### Data Control

You have complete control over your data:

- **View your data:** All data is stored locally and visible within the app
- **Delete your data:** Uninstall the app to remove all local data
- **Disable iCloud sync:** Turn off iCloud sync in the app settings at any time

- You can choose whether to use AI features
- You can select which AI provider to use
- You can disable AI features entirely in settings
