diy battery pack adapter

my ability to read and understand schematics leaves a lot to be desired. looking at the schematic you put together and linked to, i noticed that on one of the examples you are wired to the outermost 4 terminal blocks (two on the bottom & two on the top) (the smaller of the two schematics you posted)

where as on the larger schematic (the bigger breakout board) it looks you only wired the LEDs + resistors to the 2 outer most terminal blocks? am i correct with this assumption?

i've attached a picture of what i have put together so far to help visually explain my question.
