Thanks for those who made it to our meeting last night. We had a great discussion and the meeting space at the Library! worked out quite well.

Following up on a few things we discussed here are some links which may be helpful.

The slides put together by Patrick Hogan are quite useful in digging into version control.

This site has some great Git resources in general. In particular the page at http://to.jshb.me/144FW1q discusses some of the many varied ways teams can work together.

As I mentioned the Git Immersion site is well worth spending the time to get comfortable with how git works. Another one I haven't tried but looks fun is the Try Git site where you can do a tutorial in the browser.

The entire Pro Git book from Apress is available online in addition to other formats.

We talked a little about the collaboration tools on GitHub but didn't talk much about the "issue" trackers. However it's worth noting that there is an app for that of course.

Last but certainly not least the Cocoa Heads Boise area on GitHub has some of the great tutorials Ron has provided the group.
|
