Vote for me - Too many steps

Today a friend send me a link to vote on a thing she submitted to Beck's "design your own cover" type of thing

here are the steps I had to take to vote

1. Link the link from her
2. Login with Facebook
3. Allow them to post on my behalf (clicked skip but the app wouldn't register)
4. Add a phone number and password to the account
5. Accept being marketed too by them via email
6. Receive Verification Email and Activate account
7. Login again (no autologin after activation)
8. Find the original link, as the session was not saved
9. Vote for her artwork

How many of your friends would go through that to vote for you? it took over 5 minute, when it could have been a 1 click thing using Facebook.
