Geography + HCI = GeoHCI?

Today the term geohci is not as frequently used as it could be. Is this due to the ubiquity of the geotag in Social Computing research: Is GeoHCI now just HCI? Or did the GISciences absorb the HCI of GeoHCI?

Is analysis of VGI systems a form of GeoHCI research? (Traditionally more prevalent in GIScience)

Twitter, Pokemon Go, Any app / social media embracing location services

How many talks / papers are here that could be classified as GeoHCI but are not?

  • Mostly geotagged tweets.

AAG is seeing more and more presentations about Twitter + People
