My Calendar
List your cut-off date for having a full-time position
My cutoff date for looking for a position full-time is November 20. After that, I will have to work part-time while I continue to look for a full-time engineering job. And! I'm drinking to kool-aid and doing all the things that Ellen Mary and Jeff are telling me to, so we're not going to get to that point, right? right?!
List monthly, weekly, and daily goals
My monthly goal is to review and have answers for all the jeopardy questions and list of introspective questions that Brittany sent to me. I plan on re-reading the front-end curriculum to tighten up my technical knowledge generally. I'd also like to focus on cleaning up my GitHub profile through updating READMEs and refactoring and styling projects. I'd also like to be able to focus on my health more. I've spent the last month sitting and I'd like to focus on eating cleanly and getting more exercise. The cookies were the death of me.
Create "daily_practice" repo and describe to instructor(s) what you plan to practice
I have a private repo where I'm working on projects from exercism and code wars, honestly, though, chances are that for most code challenges I'll use repl.it.
List 3 people you will reach out to. Describe to instructor(s) why you'll reach out, when you'll email them by, what you hope to talk about, and what follow-up will look like
Marika Ross - Um, she's my Turing ride-or-die. But honestly, we've talked about how we both thrive with structure and now that Turing is over, we can provide that structure that Turing provided to one another.
Sarah Gallagher - My best friend is also in the process of job hunting. She and I plan on working on job hunting together at least twice a week. She's a writer and will be able to help me proofread and correct cover letters and resumes.
Ellen Mary Hickman - I reached out to Ellen Mary to ask if she'd be willing to meet with me on weekly basis to check-in on my job hunt progress and keep tabs on where I'm at. She's agreed and we're going to meet weekly at Turing on Tuesdays.
List 3 meetups you'll attend and describe to instructor(s) why you'll attend them
Denver StartUp Week - This event is all week next week. I plan on trying to go to as many sessions I'm able, in the hopes that I come across someone who's looking for an engineer like me.
React Denver - Weekly, at Turing. Many of the people I've reached out for coffee meetings have talked about going to this meetup, so this tells me that it's a good place to meet and connect with developers in the Denver area who might be able to get me in the door at their respective companies.
Cold OutReach - Weekly, at Turing. This worked for Katie, so I'm going to follow her and hope that it works for me.
List the job search tracking system you're using and describe to instructor(s) why you're using it/how it will help you
I have a google calendar that I've broken up into hourly blocks with a weekly overview. I also have a trello board with current projects I'm working on or have on my radar.
List 2-3 areas you'd like to continue to improve on for interviewing and outline concrete action steps on how you will improve those skills to describe to instructor(s)
I want to continue to improve my problem-solving process, so when I am presented with a code challenge I can approach it intentionally and verbalize my thought process. I'd also like to continue to refine the way I talk about code, computer science concepts, and development more generally. That means, working on the jeopardy questions, listening to syntax.fm, rereading the curriculum, and taking online courses.

Summary of how you've updated your LinkedIn profile
I've updated my tagline, job title, personal summary, and resume. I've also gone through and made my past job descriptions bulleted list rather than paragraphs.
List additional area you'll focus on in your job search and describe why to instructor(s)
Culture is really important to me. I want to ensure that I take a job where my employer is thoughtful and intentional about broadening the scope of tech, making room for people that aren't straight, white, cisgender men. For me, this means asking questions about culture, and team dynamics.
List 1-2 people you'll check in with during job search
Marika Ross, Spenser Leighton, Tory Dannenberg, David Starr Dunn.
List 1-2 "barriers" and describe how you will overcome them to your instructor(s)
Barriers for me will be staying positive when rejections inevitably come and I'm feeling overwhelmed.
List 1-2 people from PD Peer Group who you will continue to check in with during the first 30 days post-graduation. Describe your plans for these check-ins to your instructor(s) Allison Rue Singer - I plan on utilize Allisons' excellent proofreading and editing skills to look over my customized resumes and cover letters for important positions.
Describe one area of the job search that you feel particularly skilled in to help your cohort-mates with and how you will do that with your instructor(s)
Because of my background with brand creation and design, I hope to be able to help my cohort-mates craft their personal brand and brand story. Creating a unified story that spans their LinkedIn, resume, and cover letter.
List 1-2 people whom you will recommend your cohort-mates to, how you will make that introduction, and when you'll do that by to share with instructor(s)
I want to introduce Marika to my old supervisor, Cherish Edwards, Cherish is well connected in the Denver tech world and passionate about seeing more women enter technology and development.
