Stickyhead - MVP draft 1

StickyHead

Background

Step 1: Describe your startup idea in 2-3 sentences

StickyHead - A game where the names of famous people were written down on cards, shuffled and picked. A person is not allowed to see their own card, places the card face out on their forehead and must ask yes/no questions to try and figure out who they are.

The Problem

Step 2: Identify the biggest problems in your idea

The game involves prepration and forethought. Specifically, the game requires materials and time to prepare before the game can be played.

The Pitch

What’s the elevator pitch of your idea?

StickyHead is a in-person mobile game that uses technology to make being physically together fun again.

Biggest problem

Step 3: Brainstorm 3-5 solutions that address your idea’s biggest problems

  1. Does using technology hinder more than it helps?
  2. Will people find value in it over time?
  3. What if someone doesn't know how to play?

Solutions

Step 4: Create an Actionable Plan

  1. Figure how users will expect the app to work
  2. Content updates, achievements
  3. A simple rule sheet that allows one to explain to many

Actionable

Which solution will you implement to hit your goal?

Figure out the workflow of setting up a game.

How will you reach your first 100 users / customers?

Friends / families, coffeeshops, anyone groups I can find near by.

What is a good week-long experiment you can run to hit your goal?

Play the actual game with groups.

Next step

  1. Landing page, see if people are looking for something like this
  2. Create 3 themed lists for the game itself
  3. Create playable version, play with a group.

Success Metric:

Discover Interest: Get 100 signups on landing page.

Validate Game itself: Take survey of those that played, >80% should find it enjoyable (more clearly define what this means as the survey is built).
