Theta announced the release of the “Alpha Preview” version of the Theta EdgeStore in Feb 2022. The EdgeStore network aims to be an append-only, content-addressing, decentralized key/value storage network for the permanent web. Potential use cases include:

- Data availability service for layer 2 scaling solutions such as rollups.
