KEEP-42 Help kotlin backend companies and kotlin backend devs to find each other

(Not a real keep of course, just writing down the discussions I had at kotlinconf for easier sharing)

what?

I propose to list on the kotlin website, in a GitHub repo, or somewhere visible a list of companies using a non trivial amount of Kotlin on the backend with their geographic location, a TLDR of what they do and a link to their careers webpage

why?

Kotlin on the backend has a big job hunting / recruiting issue

Kotlin on the backend has a big recruiting issue
It's mostly not a chicken and egg problem. We have seen at kotlinconf with 50% of the people being server side and those people must work somewhere, so the companies also exist. 

Instead  it's a visibility issue. Backend devs and Kotlin devs company have a hard time finding each other.

🤔 SONDAGE: Sur quels thèmes aimeriez-vous débattre dans les prochains barcamps ?

Pour rappel, un barcamp c'est comme un meetup sauf que au lieu qu'une seule personne endorme tous le monde avec ses slides, on done la parole QUE au public. C'est aussi informatif qu'un troll réussi sur un forum... mais de vive voix.

J'ai besoin d'un coup de main pour choisir les thèmes qui vous intéresserait le plus

😢 « ESN, ESN, MORNE PLAINE » se lamentait Victor Hugo, un dev RUST plein de rouille. Victor avait la rime en "haine".

Il faisait encore partie il y a peu de la cohorte de "branleurs en CDI" dénoncée par les techfluenceurs LinkedIn. Ceux-ci lui avaient bien fait comprendre, à coup de caricatures virales, que juste faire de son métier honnêtement, c'était de nos jours un peu cringe.

Si Victor voulait être libre, il lui fallait impérativement un numéro de SIRET. "Sauvons la liberté, la liberté sauve le reste" plaida t'il au guichet de l'URSSAF.
