Thanks for your comment, I'm glad you found this code useful (and it reminded me of it, which is useful because I've been trying to solve a similar problem again...). Yes, maybe it would be a good idea to add it to the galpy docs somewhere on that streamdf page, feel free to open a pull request!

@jobovy thanks, I found this quite helpful to convert ICRS to stream coordinate (well, I found that it was quite time-consuming to manually figure out the math of coordinate transform into this stream coordinate, at least for me). Maybe would be helpful if we have this coordinate transform (I don't know if its already exist but I can't find it here https://docs.galpy.org/en/latest/streamdf.html). Even better this also include the tidal disruption 😄
Maybe this tutorial can be included in the Galpy page since I found it very useful but quite hard to locate this gist 👍
