Checkout github pull requests locally

Locate the section for your github remote in the .git/config file. It looks like this:

[remote "origin"]
	fetch = +refs/heads/*:refs/remotes/origin/*
	url = [email protected]:joyent/node.git

Now add the line fetch = +refs/pull/*/head:refs/remotes/origin/pr/* to this section. Obviously, change the github url to match your project's URL. It ends up looking like this:

Ember.js Router API v2

WARNING

This gist is outdated! For the most up-to-date information, please see http://emberjs.com/guides/routing/!

It All Starts With Templates

An Ember application starts with its main template. Put your header, footer, and any other decorative content in application.handlebars.

<header>
#!/bin/sh
#
# Usage: git semver-tags [-p|--pre]
#
# Lists semver tags in the repository in order from newest to oldest.
#
# Useful for e.g. programmatically finding the latest release tag:
# `git semver-tags | head -n 1`.
#
# Tag names must be valid according to the SemVer 1.0.0 specification

How to automatically restart the simulator in RubyMotion when code is updated (beta version!)
require 'childprocess'
guard 'shell' do
watch %r{^app/(.+)\.rb$} do |m|
`killall rake`
# Why this:
# - spawn a child process to avoid locking Guard
# - make sure that the child process has stdout and stdin otherwise it crashes
# - bonus point: get REPL access in the simulator!

A Chef recipe for creating EBS volumes. See: http://clarkdave.net/2013/04/managing-ebs-volumes-with-chef/
# The database recipe should be included by any server running a DB. It creates

directory '/data' do
