Install displayplacer

brew tap jakehilborn/jakehilborn && brew install displayplacer

Grab persistent screen id and desired resolution from output:

displayplacer list

Use screen id and resolution from previous step

displayplacer "id:<persistentScreenID> res:<resolution> origin:(0,0) degree:0"
