2. Is there any other confidential feedback you would like to provide about this person?

1. Think about the projects you worked on with this individual this year. Where did they
contribute most, and what did you work on that wouldn't have been as successful without them?
2. In thinking about the four skill areas of the eng ladder (Technical Skill, GSD, Impact,
Communication & Leadership), where does this person really excel? What is the best thing about
working with them?
3. In which of the four skill areas do you think this person could grow the most over the
coming year in order to better help Foursquare succeed? What are some concrete things they
could do in order to improve?
4. Anything else? (things to work on, areas where this person excels, etc.)
Self Eval Questions:
1. What are your top accomplishments and contributions from the past year and, if applicable, how
did you do on the goals you set for yourself from last year?
2. In thinking about the four skill areas of the eng ladder (Technical Skill, GSD, Impact,
Communication & Leadership), what are some specific ways you fell short of your own expectations
last year?
3. In which of the four skill areas would you most like to improve this year in order to better
help Foursquare succeed? What are some concrete things you'll commit to in order to improve?
4. What are your broad goals for next year? (i.e. - new projects, role advancement, cross
functional experience, etc.)
5. How can your manager be more effective in their role, both for you personally as well as the
team as a whole? (If you prefer to respond to this question anonymously, please send it directly
to Katie or Susan.)
Manager Questions:
1. Where did this person really excel this year? If they set goals in last year's review, how well
did they work towards achieving those goals?
2. Outline a few specific areas of development for this person to tackle over the coming year.
3. Outline some broad goals this person should work towards over the coming year.
4. Is there anything else you'd like to add about this individual's performance over the past
year?
