Hi all, putting the feelers out -- I'm currently looking for remote full time employment as a Senior Data Engineer, I'm based in Perth, Australia (GMT+8) but happy to work around timezones.
My data experience includes moving Sendle onto Snowflake, dbt, Tableau, etc, starting from Jun 2020.. and never finishing :).
I've plenty of experience in the usual - Python, SQL, etc - and also some more fun ones - Rust, Elixir (I love it), etc, and the more corporate ones (.NET Core, Java etc), I've dissected the Snowflake login process, have created drivers in Elixir & Rust, and also have created an implementation of dbt that static compiles >500 models in 5ms.
I've been working since 2008 as a Software Engineer/developer/etc, and transitioned in 2020 with the promise of this will only take 3 months, which got me suckered into Data :).
If your team needs someone with a broad range of experience across a lot of different technologies, I would be incredibly interested.
Looking for full time employment at this stage, starting ~June, my last day is 2024-05-17, but am aiming to take some time off.
