Mogu Mogu Game Setup

System Activation

  1. Make sure notebook is directly connected to power source.
    • Notebook should be charging if not full.
  2. Confirm that the Large Display is properly connected to the notebook.
    • Plug in one end of the HDMI Cable to it's HDMI slot on the right side of the notebook.
    • Plug in the other end of the HDMI Cable to the back of the Large Display with label HDMI 1
    • The Large Display should extend the notebook's display.
  3. Power up the notebook
    • Allow at least 5 mins for the notebook to complete bootup.
  4. Confirm that the notebook is properly connected to the Wifi Router.
    • Check that the network icon on windows taskbar does not have an asterisk icon
    • Check that the network shows as connected in Mogu Mogu router.
    • If connection fails, see Basic Troubleshooting > #1
  5. Confirm internet connectivity
    • Do some test via http://www.speedtest.net and have a result at of at least 2Mbps in download speed.
    • If connection fails, see Basic Troubleshooting > #1
  6. Make sure that the PS3 controller is properly connected.
    • Launch Better DS3 application.
    • Plug in the smaller end of the USB Cable to the PS3 Controller
    • Plug in the larger end of the USB Cable to the USB slot next to the HDMI slot on Notebook
    • Wait till you see the controller get detected.
    • Select a profile from the dropdown and then click Apply.
    • Close the Better DS3 application.
    • On the desktop, double-click on the icon Gamepad API tester to launch the browser test.
    • Verify that the controller buttons are mapped correctly.
    • Close the browser containing the Gamepad API tester.
  7. Launch Mogu Mogu Game
    • Double-click the icon Mogu Mogu from the desktop.
    • Press fn + F11 to display in full screen.
      • The button fn can be found on the lower left corner of the Notebook
      • The button F11 should be on the top right keys of the Notebook
    • Let the user click the Connect button.
      • If the prompt is not loading, see Basic Troubleshooting > #1
    • User fills up their Facebook username and password.
    • User fills up their Facebook username and password.
    • Ask the User to Like the Mogu Mogu fan page.
      • If Like button is light blue with a check mark, click the x icon on the top-right of the message.
      • If Like button is dark blue, ask the user to click the Like button.
    • The Press Start button should now be clickable for the user to start playing.

Basic Troubleshooting

  1. Internet is not connected/functional
    • Please ask assistance with the Wifi Dongle administrator for the correct credentials.
    • Please confirm that the internet connection is working as #5.
  2. The controller got pulled out of it's cables
    • Reconnect the controller as of System Activation > #6
    • On the taskbar, double-click the icon for Better DS3 (it should look like the PS3 controller).
    • Click Apply close the app again.
    • Go back to the game to resume.
