Hi peter,
Apologies for delay getting back to you. Your proposed use is fine, so tak=
e this as permission to use our topography data for GraphHopper.
Andy.

Dear Mr Jarvis,
would you mind to look into my request? I think both projects could benefit=
from this. Feel free to ask me if something is not clear. Also I want to n=
ote, that GraphHopper is not that unimportant and will get more popularity =
I guess and hope. E.g. I'll have a talk at FOSDEM<https://fosdem.org/2014/s=
chedule/event/graphdevroom_graphhopper/> and elsewhere.
Kind Regards,
Peter.
Hi there,
I'm the author of GraphHopper<http://graphhopper.com/maps/> a new and fast =
Open Source routing engine based on OpenStreetMap (OSM) data. I have some q=
uestions. I would like to integrate elevation data in two ways:
1. change distance and speed information per road segment to make e.g. rou=
ting around hills possible
2. display the height data for every calculated route
For 1. this is derived work of OSM and so it would be required that I relea=
se the produced work (i.e. my routing files) under the ODbl-license.
For 2. the original height data would be necessary but as this is a separat=
e database it would not be necessary to release the produced work under ODb=
l.
Would you allow such usage for GraphHopper? And do you allow such usage for=
commercial projects? If a license is required, what would it cost? I'm ask=
ing as I would like to decide if I should use SRTMv3 or your data.
Kind Regards,
Peter.
