Hi, my name is ___ and I’m a constituent from Cleveland.
I’m calling to ask Senator Moreno to lead the charge on conducting oversight hearings regarding the major cuts that Adminstrator Zeldin and the Trump administration are making to the staffing and programs of the EPA. I live right off of the Industrial Valley, close to where the Cuyahoga River burned at least a dozen times, and a mile from where the Harshaw Chemical Company used to dump radioactive materials in the 1950’s. Over 70 years later, we’re still trying to clean up that mess, and any backsliding would surely make prime land near downtown uninhabitable for another 70 years.
I’m sure Senator Moreno has visited the Cuyahoga Valley National Park with his family; that gem of our region would not exist without the EPA and the cleanup performed starting in 1972. We’d like Senator Moreno to represent the interests of Cleveland on this one, rather than the interests of Washington, and help protect these valuable natural resources in his adopted hometown… and I should add, protect jobs in Northeast Ohio, as I just heard today that DOGE is cutting a bunch of CVNP employees, which doesn’t sound great for the future of the crooked river.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

Hi, my name is ___ and I’m a constituent from Cleveland.
I’m calling to ask Senator Moreno to follow his fellow Republicans in using the powers entrusted to the Senate to reign in the massive, poorly-targeted cuts pursued by DOGE to programs that are critical to our local economy. Senators Moran, Britt, Capito, and Bassaro are standing up for the economic interests of their state, and we expect Senator Moreno to likewise stand up for Cleveland and Ohio by opposing the cancelation of the Solar for All grants for Northeast Ohio and the massive cuts to the NASA workforce. NASA Glenn Research Center is a critical resource of our region, and a vanguard of technological advancement. NASA Glenn staff are Senator Moreno’s neighbors. Please stand up for them and for Cleveland.
