Q: Does your project have to already exist or can you submit a new idea? A: It must be a concept with a user experience mapped out, or a prototype.
Q: Must works be focused on English-speaking audiences? A: No, but application materials must be in English.
Q: Will projects including a physical component be considered (for example, robots with an online presence)? A: It's okay to have something site-specific, but you need to offer an experience that's engaging for web users as well. It has to be a meaningful way for users to interact with it.
Q: Do I need to have the technical skill to complete my project? A: You have to be able to completely realize the project yourself or with a team.
Q: Is anyone prohibited from applying? A: In Iran and North Korea Mozilla is not allowed to fund grants. Ask via email for specifics.
Q: What is meant by screen based? Are location -based installation and internet-based components acceptable? A: We don't want to support projects that are only offline. We want you to use the internet as a medium to comment on the internet. We want projects people can share.
Q: Can there be an organizational fiscal sponsor? A: You can apply as an organization.
