Mandarin words and phrases that I'd like to remember.

最近有什麼事嗎 - Zuìjìn yǒu shé me shì ma - What's new with you?
我明天早上很早就走 (wŏ míngtiān zăoshàng hĕn zăo jiù zŏu) - I'm leaving very early tomorrow morning.
很高兴跟你讲话 - Hěn gāoxìng gēn nǐ jiǎnghuà - It was nice speaking with you
很高兴认识你 - Hěn gāoxìng rènshi nǐ - It is nice to meet you
你可以说得慢一点吗？- Nǐ kěyǐ shuō de màn yīdiǎn ma? - Could you speak more slowly?
怎么会？- Zěnme huì? - How is that possible or how could that happen?
听不懂 - Tīng bù dǒng - do not understand
我觉得我的中文很烂。我真的需要学习比较多-Wǒ juéde wǒ de zhōngwén hěn làn. Wǒ zhēn de xūyào xuéxí bǐjiào duō. - I think my chinese sucks. I really need to learn more.

我的电脑死机 - Wǒ de diànnǎo sǐjī - My computer is dead (has died/stopped working)
计算机 - jìsuànjī - a more formal term for computer
笔记本电脑 - Bǐjìběn diànnǎo - laptop computer
无线上网 - wúxiàn shàngwǎng - Wireless Internet
密码是多少? - Mìmǎ shì duōshǎo? - What is the password
这里可以无线上网吗？- Zhèlǐ kěyǐ wúxiàn shàngwǎng ma? - Is there wireless internet here?
密码不对。 - Mìmǎ bùduì. - The password is wrong.
可以上了 - Kěyǐ shàngle - I can get on (the Internet)
你上Facebook吗？我加你。 - Nǐ shàng Facebook ma? Wǒ jiā nǐ. - Are you on Facebook? I'll add you.
可以用VPN。 - Kěyǐ yòng VPN. - You can use a VPN.
可以用翻墙软件 Kěyǐ yòng fān qiáng ruǎnjiàn - You can use a VPN.

女士 - Nǚshì - better word for woman. Does imply prostitue the way Xiǎojiě sometimes does. Also less clinical than Nǚrén.
妻子 - Qīzi - wife. Better term than tai tai which implies rich woman or kept woman.
老婆 - Lǎopó - another term for wife that is better than tai tai.
兄弟姐妹 - Xiōngdì jiěmèi - siblings (lit brothers sisters). Nǐ yǒu xiōngdì jiěmèi ma?

Food and restaurants

餐馆 - Cānguǎn is the word I've used for restaurant. But Yuan Fei pointed out that it usually describes a more formal restaurant and wouldn't be used for McDonalds. 快餐店 (Kuàicān diàn) is used for fast food.
