  • Pack some chairs up - we're gonna need some floor space!
  • Physically move everything in the broomcupboard into the rest of the room
    • Rename /southampton/broomcupboard to /southampton/floor
    • (Things that are unwieldy can be left in there, so long as we are sure that the inventory exactly matches real life at the end of this step)
  • Move small loose items into RUBs, and move things between RUBs if necessary
  • Re-inventorise each RUB / other container
    • Update the inventory as this is done
  • Determine an optimal packing strategy for the cupboard (could discuss this while eating?)
    • Try to keep things used that are used regularly on the left-hand side of the cupboard
    • Try to put heavy, less regularly used stuff (read: old kits) at the bottom of the stacks
    • Some stuff is owned by ECS (for Smallpeice) instead of SR; ideally we'd want to keep this seperate
    • Idea: Have a "quick-access" stack of RUBs for tools, tape, cable ties etc. (things that are usually wanted often, at short notice, and without having to rummage through the cupboard too much).
  • Once we're happy with the contents of the RUBs, begin packing the RUBs and other large loose items back into the cupboard
    • Update the inventory as this is done, by moving items from /southampton/floor back to /southampton/broomcupboard
  • Move anything left over in /southampton/floor to /unknown-location/was-in-the-broomcupboard, as it is not actually in the cupboard

Keep an eye out for stuff that could potentially be moved to storage (I'll drop Rob an email about this in a week or two when things have cooled down a bit).
